Art Deco Paste Salamander Brooch Sterling, Germany c. 1920

A delightful little friend for your shoulder, this German made Deco era brooch depicts a crawling salamander studded with green and white old cut paste stones.  Made in 800 silver (German standard) c. 1920.  

Measures 3 x 1 1/4".

Stamped "800" and tested for metal content.

One green paste has been replaced with a foil-backed paste that matches very well.  Many of the clear pastes have darkened.  Pin back in good working condition.
